The Blending Process

Capsule Production Of Dry Granulation Blends
Dry granulation is commonly used when a blend does not work or function correctly in the presence of moisture and heat. This process has the main advantage of never introducing liquids to the mix. To make the powder more compact and increase bulk density, a machine will apply enormous pressure and force to the prepared blend of ingredients. There is a wide range of force required based on the blend, its ingredients, and the density desired.

Capsule Production Of WET Granulation Blends
As part of the wet granulation process, you must first prepare and mix the blend of the supplement, then add water to the mixed blend. When water is added to the powder, it will wet the particles and add an impermeable layer of water between them. As the layer of water gets wider and wider, it will eventually pass through the pores of the particles.
